Sana is responsible for overall planning and management of CARE International’s development and humanitarian program and country office activities in Cambodia. He brings an extensive experience from over 20 years working in humanitarian and development sectors with the different International Organisations in senior management roles.
Sana has a Master Degree in Development Management from the Asian School of Development and Cross-Cultural Studies (ASDECS) accredited by the International Councils of Higher Education, the Board of Trustees, Philippines.
Assistant Country Director - Programs
Jan is responsible for overall CARE’s programs. He has over 15 years experience working in Cambodia. In 2002 Jan started with CARE Cambodia to establish and manage the Highland Children’s Education Project and has been integral to considerable developments in the multilingual education sector in Cambodia.
Jan did his Masters in the Netherlands (British and American Literature) followed by Post Graduate study in educational management. In the 1990s he worked as the Principal of a college for adult education and training programs for asylum seekers.
Assistant Country Director - Programs Support
Vandy is responsible to direct the Finance, Operations, Grants Management, Procurement and Audit teams to ensure effective functioning and coordination with all aspects of CARE International in Cambodia's programs. Before joining with CARE, he has more than 15 years experiences from the Mekong River Commission where he has held multiple roles since 2002, engaged in project administration, finance, contract management and so on. Within the last 3 years, he oversaw the financial management of the MRC’s multiple donor funds.
Vandy also worked with USAID in Cambodia for six months, where he was engaged in project design. He has a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the Royal University of Phnom Penh, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economic Development from the Royal University of Law and Economics.
Senior Human Resource Manager
Ms. Seng Danet plays a role as Senior Human Resources Manager for CARE Cambodia started in August 2018. She has been working across the different functions of human resources such as recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, staff’s capacity building, employee relation, staff’s performance and talent management. Before starting her work with CARE Cambodia, she has more than 6 years experienced in HR field within local and international organization included two years in management.
Danet is holding a Master Degree of Business Administration from Norton University and Bachelor Degree of Business Administration from Pannasastra University of Cambodia
Deputy Operations Director
Seng Sothla completed Master Degree in Business of Management and attended other academic inside and outside countries. With more than 15 years of professional working, Sothla has extensive experience in Human Resource Management, Development and Administration. Her expertise is on Recruitment, Performance Management, Staff Development, Employee Relation, HR Policy and Framework, Compensation and benefits and HR information systems.
Moreover, Sothla has broad knowledge on Administrator such as Administration Policies and Procedures, Office and Asset Management, Procurement, Safety and Security and Fleet Management.
Deputy Program Director (EMW)
Pun is responsible for field implementation of Ethnic Minority Women (EMW) program, coordination and management of all CARE projects in the EMW, and provides leadership to the program manager and project managers. Pun has been working with CARE since Sept 2002.
Prior to his current position he had been working for Saila program for four years, the deconcentration and decentralization program of the Royal Government of Cambodia and he has extensive experience in rural livelihood development program, program management and human resources management at senior level for over fifteen years with various international humanitarian organizations in Cambodia
Pun graduated a Bachellor of Business Administration (BBA), at Preston University, and holding master in Agriculture and Rural Management, International University, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Gender Technical Advisor
As Gender Technical Advisor Pysal leads on providing technical and strategic guidance on CARE Cambodia’s programs and project staff on promoting gender awareness and leading influencing and advocacy efforts.
She has been working in development for 12 years, with more than six years management and technical advisory experience. Pysal’s specialisations include gender, gender-based violence, labour rights, discrimination and sexual harassment.
Pysal holds two masters degrees, one in Policy Development and Practices from The Graduate Institute in Geneva and one in Public Health from International University in Cambodia.
Senior Program Manager - SRMH and Rights
Phalla is the lead of the SRH team of CARE Cambodia, his roles is to contribute to the strategic direction and provide leadership and technical support to the SMW program and regional CARE programs in the areas of SRMH and Rights.
Phalla has more than 10 years experience working with integrated development projects including education, health, agriculture, good governance, and natural resource management.
Phalla has a Masters Degree in Rural Development and Management from Khon Kaen University, Thailand.
Senior Program and Operation Manager (Mondul Kiri & Ratanak Kiri)
Veasna is responsible for overall office management and oversees projects implementation in Mondul Kiri and Ratanak Kiri provinces. He has more than 10 years experiences working with local NGOs and INGO on integrated development projects including human rights, indigenous people rights, land rights, health, implementation social accountability framework (I-SAF) and civil society network engagement, management and spokesperson.
Veasna is holding Bachelor Degree in law, Western University, Cambodia, and Master Degree in Business Administration, Asian Institute Cambodia.
Deputy Finance Director
Sopanha is responsible for managing the overall CARE Cambodia mission budget and Country Office financial management. She has 18-year experience in Administration and Finance with various international development organisations, private sector, international agency and Embassy. Sopanha holds a bachelor degree in Economics, specializing in Enterprise Management, and she is working toward ACCA qualification from UK.
